Recollection Log No. 19: The Price of Heaven in A Forgotten Void

When the great beast KUROMEGA devoured heaven, the Cosmos fell into theDarkness.

All that remained were the Void Suns, emanating their forbidden light in those hidden filaments of lost sky.

The Remnant Children of Humanity petitioned to the Thousand Eyes of Isame: “Are we not entitled to inherit their frozen starlight in the wake of this destruction?

But theGoddess is dead. And only her silence remains.

Still, the Remnants heard the Whispers of the Sky, and the promise of a New Dawn.

Whether it be vain hope or the onset of madness, the Remnants did not falter, and they embarked into the Endless Night of the Void Ocean, yearning for the memory of Daybreak.

(Ell hand-written notes: Dear Reine, I should compose a Resonance Song for this passage. Perhaps a threnody in E minor? It’s a song of vain hope that we know, in retrospect, leads to futility. But from the Remnants’ perspective, it was the last gift of Isame. Any advice?)
