I saw that same client today, the one who called themselves “Narama”, that Synthetic doll with the strange accent. Just her pseudonym, obviously. I don’t know her real name.
She claimed to be an offworlder. A Velarian, you think? The Royal Roads to Velar-VI were destroyed in the war, so it’s troublesome to get from there to here without some connections.
The mystery looms. I had Narama sign a privacy waiver and linked her biometrics to the Eidenfall Citizen Registry matrix. Guess what? Nada. All Velarian citizens were accounted for in the Velarian Registration Act. She couldn’t have been accidentally ommitted either way.
Another hypothesis: Narama is an Anathemate? But it still doesn’t line up. She doesn’t have The Mark…I, uh, checked.
That leaves only one other possibility: Narama is a nullborn - a rare unauthorized synthetic. Of course, she “should” have been registered upon creation, like all Zhaoji Heavy Industries products. But Zhaoji would be the type to deal with offworlders from Inamorata with a mining deal. The Akydoron did try to ban all unlicensed synthetic production, but even the Akydoron has no jurisdiction over Inamorata. So could Narama be a mining synthetic?
Conspiracy theory time. It sounds to me like Zhaoji has a clandestine joint venture with the Fang Familia for an off-world synthetic production site.
If not Inamorata, there’s a possibility Narama might be from The Falzchen. Still, I doubt that citystate ship has the capacity for industrial scale production. Unless Zaleri is in bed with the Fangs. Kinky?
I’m exhausted just thinking about it. I don’t feel like the heroine of this story.. I won’t l poke my nose down the wolf’s throat like some masochistic lamb. No thanks, that’s not Enzia’s way.
The Narama gal did seem genuine. She wanted asylum in EidenfalI. Wherever Narama was from, she doesn’t want to go back. Unluckily, whoever she pissed off doesn’t want her to be here, there, or anywhere at all either…if you get my drift.
This whole thing isn’t within the realm of my expertise, as you know. Though citizen registration shouldn’t be that complicated, can it? Narama being a Nullborn does complicate things, but I know some friends who know of friends that are acquianted with the fine folks with The Akydoron’s Konsilieri. My friends should be able to fix a council hearing for expedited naturalization. If this gig goes as planned, Wolfsgarden and Associates can finally add “citizenship acquisition” instead of “citizen termination” in their repertoire.
