Inaris, also known as the Witch of Silverine Eyes, was a Void Priestess that was prophesized to be the vessel for the resurrection of Isame of a Thousand Eyes.
As a former royal princess of the Albirean Kingdom, her existence caused a rift within the Knights of the Aeonguard, splitting the organization into those that chose to serve her (The Brandished Ones), and those who vowed to destroy her (The Arm of the Executrix).
The exact circumstances of her death are unknown as the Albirean state officials destroyed public records of the War of the Thornless Roses.
In The Ballad of Sartoria, her death is dramatized as having been self-inflicted, where she was portrayed to have torn her own eyes out after seeing a “vision” of her own destruction. Some literary scholars from the academics of Eidenfall interpret the text as being a dramatic foretelling of her death at the hands of her purported paramour, Knight Sartoria.
